The Toyota Land Cruiser is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are standard. All models are equipped with all-terrain tires, tow hooks, multiple skid plates, low-speed crawl control, a two-speed transfer case with high- and low-range gearing, a locking center differential, and Toyota’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, which can electronically disconnect the sway bars for more wheel travel. This off-road hardware helps mitigate the Land Cruiser’s relatively small 8.9 inches of ground clearance. The Land Cruiser is 16.2 feet long, and its curb weight ranges from 5,715 to 5,815 pounds, depending on configuration.
