Brand new Suzuki Ertiga 2018 Automatic

The Suzuki Ertiga’s interior styling is very car-like. The instrument cluster gets a built-in multi-info display and a full set of gauges; this includes an actual analog-style engine temp gauge. Most variants come with a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation; the GLX variant uses an Android OS. Under the Ertiga’s short sloping hood is Suzuki's familiar K14B 1.4-liter DOHC inline-4 gasoline mill which features VVT technology. Power is sent to the front wheels either through a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic tranny. Based on our test we managed to average 10.7 km/L in combined city and highway driving in an automatic transmission-equipped Ertiga.

The Ertiga’s unibody structure uses what Suzuki calls “Total Effective Control Technology “, this is the use of high-strength tensile steel in areas where it is vital. The strategical located reinforcements keep it light and rigid. The Ertiga’s suspension was tuned for both handling and comfort, up front it uses a sub-frame-mounted independent MacPherson struts, and at the back it uses a space-saving torsion beam setup. All Ertiga variants come with electric power steering. In the safety front, all Suzuki Ertiga variants come with dual-airbags and childproof rear door locks. The top of the line GLX variant gets additional safety features like ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.
