The Future City of Qatar : Lusail City

 

Lusail City, or what’s called as the Future City of Qatar, located to the North of Doha, and extend over 38 square kilometers, the city is considered to be one of the most significant areas where it combine luxury, technology  and modern designs in one place.

They city is planned to include different types of residential properties such as apartments, villas and townhouses, as well as many luxuries retails and shopping malls, also the city will have around 22 hotels with different star rating and many entertainment facilities. This is all in addition to the green lush landscaping that will cover around 30% of the land in the city and it will also be the home for four exclusive luxuries islands dedicated for residential and commercial use. 

 

In addition, the city will have one of the biggest stadiums in Qatar “ Lusail Stadium” where it will host the final game of the world-cup 2022.

All of these unique facilities has made Lusail city a very attractive hub for tourists and residents inside and outside of Qatar. 

The city is designed to accommodate around 450,000 residents and visitors, and it will have many different uses that will suit all the needs. 

 

Lusail is the first green city to be constructed in Qatar, where it focus on walkability and create a friendly green environment, the city as well created a smart transportation system to save energy and reduce the use of the vehicles. Light Rail Tram “LRT” stations, Metro station, underground parking, Water taxis, pedestrian and cycle networks, all of this helped in creating a very sophisticated transportation infrastructure that will make it the first green city in Qatar.
