Honda Accord 2017 Overview

The 2017 Honda Accord midsize car comes in sedan and coupe variants. Aside from the revised four-cylinder hybrid, power comes from a 2.4-liter I-4 or a 3.5-liter V-6, paired with a choice of three transmissions. 

The Accord also received a more rigid body structure and an upgraded chassis, while the Honda Sensing safety tech package was expanded to feature more driver assists.

The 2017 Honda Accord coupe and sedan get power from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 185 hp (or 189 hp in Sport trims) and 182 lb-ft of torque, or the 3.5-liter V-6 that pumps out 278 hp and 252 lb-ft. A six-speed manual transmission gets paired with the I-4 on the LX-S, EX, and EX-L V-6 coupe models and the LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, and EX sedan models. A CVT is available on the 1-4 engine-equipped models, but comes standard on the EX-L sedan and coupe. A six-speed automatic transmission is also offered with six-cylinder coupes and sedans.

Fuel economy is rated at 23/32 mpg city/highway on Accord models equipped with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder and manual transmission for both the sedan and coupe. Coupes equipped with the I-4 and CVT get 26/34 mpg city/highway and 27/36 mpg for the sedan. Those models with the 3.5-liter V-6 paired with the six-speed auto are rated at 21/33 mpg for the sedan and 21/32 mpg for the coupe. The best fuel economy can be had with the revived hybrid model.
