The updated Ford Figo gets revised styling and remains a neat looker though top-spec Titanium Blu trim cars stand out with their blacked-out bits and larger wheels. A redesigned dashboard that gives pride of place to the touchscreen is new to the Figo. Quality on the inside has improved too with a built-to-last feel to everything. Front seat comfort is good and legroom at the back is decent too. However, a relatively upright backrest and limited headroom could be spoilers for rear seat occupants.
The Ford Figo range starts with the new 96hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine that comes mated to a new 5-speed gearbox. The petrol engine is a bit slow to build speed but once in its rhythm, it is actually quite enjoyable.

Diesel buyers will take keenly to the 100hp, 1.5-litre Figo diesel. The engine is likeable for its linear power delivery even if it’s not the quietest of diesels around. Ford’s new 5-speed manual gearbox has also done its bit to enhance the driving experience in both versions. A well-weighted steering and absorbent suspension make the updated Ford Figo among the best driving cars in the class. With its powertrain and equipment upgrades, the Ford Figo has become far easier to recommend. Buyers with limited running will find a good deal in the Figo petrol-manual while frequent highway users will be more than content with the Figo diesel.
