Wednesday's regular Cabinet meeting was led by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani.
Following the meeting, H.E. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaei, Minister of Municipality and Environment, made the following statement:
First, the Cabinet must approve a draft decision on the part-time system in government.
This approach attempts to increase workplace efficiency and provide more flexible options for Qatari employees to take into account their conditions and demands.
It also considers family circumstances, as this approach allows Qatari women to better balance home and child-rearing obligations with professional obligations.
The part-time method reduces the number of working hours per week by half, and the number of working hours per day by half.
Part-time work is permitted upon request by the employee and approval by the government organization.
The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has submitted a draft decision on the processes for disbursing from the Zakat Fund account.
The ruling limits the disbursement of zakat from the Zakat Fund to eight national Islamic banks, within legal limitations.
Third - Approval of Qatar's contribution to UN peacekeeping missions.
Fourth - Approval of a draft twinning agreement between Doha, Qatar, and Beirut, Lebanon.
