Nissan Xterra (Expat owned) Automatic

The Xterra receives few changes for 2012, with two added exterior paint colors, Metallic Blue and Brilliant Silver, as the only new features for the year. The 261-hp 4.0-liter V-6 is still the only engine choice, though it's a good one. Transmission options include a five-speed automatic, which can be ordered with rear- or 4-wheel drive models, and a 4-wheel-drive-exclusive six-speed manual. The SUV also gets 16-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment, which can be wrapped in either BFGoodrich Radial Long Trail T/A all-season truck tires or Rugged Trail T/A off-road performance tires. Lower radiator skid plates are standard on all models, while oil pan, fuel tank, and transfer case skid plates are reserved for the top-dog PRO-4X. That model also gets standard roof rack cross bars with roof-mounted off-road lights, bumper-mounted fog lights, and silver-trimmed inner headlights. Dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat-mounted sensors, driver and passenger front side impact airbags, front and rear roof-mounted side-curtain airbags with head protection, and front seat active head restraints are standard on the Xterra. An ABS system with Electronic Brake force Distribution, along with Nissan's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system with traction control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring system also come standard. Child safety seats can be fitted inside through the standard LATCH seat-anchoring system.
