Kia also produced the first petrol engine in 1973 and the first diesel engine in 1976.
In 1986, Kia began producing derivative cars in partnership with Ford Motors of America.From the Mazda models to the domestic market as well as other countries.
These models include both the Pride (inspired by Mazda 121) and the Avila models.
The two were sold to North America and Australia as Ford Festiva and Ford Aspire. Kia's first car was sold in Europe in 1991, the Kia Pride.

Kia Motors America was established in the United States of America in 1992.
And in February 1994, four dealerships in Portland, Oregon, sold the first Kia brand in the United States. Since then, Kia's expansion in the region has systematically started from region to region. Sivia was introduced in the same year, and Kia Sportage was launched on the market a few years later.
