Description:

Stakeholder engagement is an important managerial function in all types of organizations. In this course, we show how managers can use the power of strategic communication to engage effectively with stakeholders both in good times and in times of crisis. We will discuss how to identify the most important stakeholders; how to determine their needs and expectations; how to set up effective communication channels; what types of proactive and reactive communication should be developed to engage with stakeholders; and we will see examples of how organizations use strategic communication to engage with stakeholders successfully on a variety of media platforms. Importantly, we discuss how the shift from traditional to digital media has changed the way organizations should communicate strategically with key internal and external stakeholders.
