From the holdings of its extensive rare book collection, MIA Library presents a pictorial journey through Palestine, on view through 30 September 2021. The majority of books included in the exhibition range in date from 1610 to 1930 CE and are written in European languages, originally published as travel journals, stories and histories.

As part of the Doha Capital of Culture of the Islamic World celebrations in 2021, we have opened the doors of the Rare Book Room, once again, to present a collection of books highlighting the beauty of Palestine over the last five hundred years.

A series of programmes, including webinars, embroidery workshops, landscape painting and more, will complement the exhibition.
