DOHA - Ooredoo has announced the launch of a new free service designed to help the hearing impaired stay connected, in collaboration with the Qatari Centre of Social Cultural for the Deaf.
The new service from the telecommunications company allows the hearing impaired to share that they are having difficulty hearing, giving callers the option to send a message instead of completing the call.
“We're delighted to be launching this new service designed to ensure access to connectivity for the hearing impaired within our community, and ensure inclusivity for all,” said Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo. Our commitment to making our services available to all who want and need them is at the heart of our operations, and this new initiative demonstrates that commitment in a practical way.”
Customers with hearing impairments can activate the service for free by texting 92 to 191.
